| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To study the effects of Liangjin mushroom polysaccharide (LJPS) on the secretion of IL-2 and the expression of IL-2 mRNA from the mononuclear cells(CBMC) of human umbilical blood. To explore the immunologic and anti-tumor activity of LJPS and provide the experimental evidence for medical use of LiangJin Mushroom cultivated in China.[Methods] The secretion of IL-2 from CBMC was determined by radioimmunoassay method and the expression of IL-2 mRNA was detected by the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).[Result] Both LJPS alone or combined with PHA could enhance the secretion of IL-2 from CBMC(P<0.05 and P<0.01). The peak was at about 48th hour later. Moreover, they could promote the expression of IL-2 mRNA in CBMC with the peak at about 24th hour.[Conclusion] LJPS can enhance the secretion of the endogenous IL-2 and the expression of IL-2 mRNA of CBMC. |
