| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To observe the clinical effect of Sheng-jiang(Ascending and descending) Capsule on gastro-esophageal reflux disease(GERD). [Methods] Fifty-one GERD patients diagnosed by endoscope were divided randomly into treatment group and control group. The patients of treatment group were given with Sheng-jiang Capsule and that of control group with Famotidine and Domperidone tablet. The symptom score, endoscopic examination, 24 h pH monitor and the change of motilin before and after the treatment between the two groups were observed. [Results] The improvement extent of treatment group was obviously superior than that of control group (P<0.05). The symptoms score, reflux frequency, the time, less than pH4 and motilin level in the treatment group were also improved obviously compared with that in the control group. [Conclusion] Sheng-jiang capsule has a better clinical effect on gastro-esophageal reflux disease. |
