Abstract
The vitality of TCM lies in curative effect and the standard of curative effect used now has not yet adapted to the requirement for the development of TCM modernization. At present needs to set up a whole evaluative system for clinical curative effect is necessary. It can be constructed of according to the thought and method of evidence-based medicine (EBM). Such kind of a system has not only embodied the characteristic of TCM of determining the treatment based on differentiation of symptoms and signs but also increased the universality of the diagnostic and therapeutic standard of TCM. It has reflected the curative effect of TCM overall,systematically,objectively.
