Some Thoughts on Treatment of Schizophrenia with Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine

Abstract
    The morbidity of schizophrenia is being increased recently and more attention being paid on its treatment. The treatment of the integrated traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine has already become a necessary tendency. For the patients with positive symptoms or attacking symptoms mainly,the western medicine should be the main therapeutic medicine and Chinese herbs should be considered as a medicine for treating the side effect induced by Western medicine and a medicine to regulate the constitution of the patients in every aspects through symptom differentiation. For the patients with negative symptoms and recognition symptoms,the traditional Chinese medicine should be the first choice among the antipsychotic medicines. The acupuncture and western medicine may be the additional treatment.
