Abstract
    According to the treatment with differentiation of the symptoms and signs the prescriptions in Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseases treating ulcerative colitis clinically may be classified as: overabundant yin leading to insufficient yang,excessive yin keeping yang externally,excessive yin causing floating of yang etc. The effective prescription was decoction for treating yang exhaustion,promoting blood circulation,activating yang,etc. They were decoction SI NI,decoction TONG MAI SI NI,decoction BAI TONG and so on.
