Abstract
    The roasting heat was the well-known symptom occurred in patients with climacteric symptom. In women. Many patients also complained a cold feeling in the lower half of the body. It was commonly called heat in the upper and cold in the lower. Because it was not life-threating and without objective index the existence of upper heat and lower cold sometimes was neglected. But it often brought discomfort to the women in their daily life and was a severe trouble for them. The discomfort led to a decline in the quality of life(QOL). According to the inquired results from 202 patients aged from 40 to 60 years old the characteristic of upper heat and lower cold syndrome in climacteric syndrome women was explored.
