Abstract
|
The science of acupuncture and moxibustion is belonged to the traditional experienced medicine. The evidence-based medicine is a rising medical methodology and the developmental result of experienced medicine.Since 1990s the workers of that who have engaged in research on the science of acupuncture and moxibustion have initiated to absorb and use the experiences of the methods and principles of the evidence-based medicine. Now more and more clinical workers in acupuncture and moxibustion field are adopting and following the methods and principles of the evidence-based medicine. The current systematic reviews concerning acupuncture and moxibution published in Cochrane library has showed that there isn’t enough evidence to indicate that acupuncture and moxibution are effective for the treatment of many kinds of diseases, which was directly related to the small and low quality of clinical trials. In the future, the developing and forming a professional research talents teams and clinical research center only can ultimately raise the level of clinical study evaluation. At the same time, the developing evidence-based acupuncture and moxibustion in China should be combined with their own characteristics of domestic acupuncture and moxibustion, such as putting emphasis on the original evidences in the ancient books, carrying on some randomly controlled RCT with high quality, paying attention to the systematic evaluation of the nonrandom trials, and so on. |
