| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the effect of mental intervention on the quality of life in patients with malignant tumor in middle and advanced stage treated with TCM and chemotherapy.[Methods] Thirty patients were randomly divided into two groups:mental intervention group and control group.Except mental intervention the patients received the same treatment as those in intervention group.Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA),Hamilton’s depression scale(HAMD),psychiatric outpatients mood scale(POMS)and quality of life scale(QLQ-C30)were carried out in all the patients before,in and after treatment.[Results] The improvement of HAMA,HAMD,POMS and QLQ-C30 in treatment group was obviously superior to that in control group(P<0.01).[Conclusions] The mental intervention may improve emotional state and quality of life in patients with malignant tumor in middle and advanced stage. |
