Abstract

[Objective] To study the clinical effects of Gastrodine injection in treating patients with vertebral basilar artery insufficiency(VBI).[Methods] One hundred and sixteen patients with VBI were randomly divided into treatment group treated by Gastrodin injection and control group. The clinical effects and the blood flow velocity of the vertebral basilar artery were determined with TCD in both groups.[Results] The recovery rate and the total effective rate of treatment group were 68.96% and 89.65% respectively and superior than those in control group(43.10% and 74.13%)with significant difference(P<0.05).The improvement of the blood flow velocity in the treatment group was also significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05).[Conclusions] Gastrodine injection may increase the blood flow velocity of the vertebral basilar artery and improve the clinical symptoms. It possesses significant effect in treating the sufficiency of blood supply of the vertebral basilar artery. |
