Abstract
[Objective] To explore the time-effect relationship and the main mechanism of acupuncture in treating cerebral hemorrhage in rats.[Methods] A model of cerebral hemorrhages in rats was established by using two steps of injection of autologous blood to observe the changes of intracellular free calcium(Ca2+),contents of SOD,MDA in brain tissue and the content of EAA in hippocampus tissue in different time after acupuncture respectively.[Results] We found that acupuncture could decrease the concentration of(Ca2+)in injured neural cells, increase the activity of SOD,reduce the production of MDA in brain tissue and inhibit the increasing of the content of EAA in hippocampus tissue. There was a statistic difference(P<0.05).There was a significant difference between the group of 3 hours treatment and the other three groups;and there was no significant difference between the group of 12 hours treatment,24 hours treatment and 48 hours treatment.[Conclusions] The acupuncture treatment possesses some protective effect against cerebral hemorrhage in rats.It can protect brain cells from cerebral hemorrhage in rats and the earlier treatment the better effect.
