Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the renal protective effect of Tangshenqing-1(treating diabetic nephropathy)in rats with diabetic nephropathy.[Methods] Thirty-six rats with intraperitoneal alloxan induced diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into three groups with 12 animals in each:normal control(A),diabetic nephropathy without any treatment(B),and diabetic nephropathy treating with Tangshenqing-1(C).After the model was established Tangshenqing-1 was administered.Eight weeks later the 24 h urine and blood samples were collected. Then rats were killed. The kidneys were harvested for microscopic,electro-microscopic,immunohistochemistry and molecular biology examination.[Results] The TGF-b1 gene and protein expression, the creatinine clearance rate and urea protein in the kidney tissue of rats with diabetic nephropathy were significantly higher in group B and groupC than groupA(P<0.01).However,the degree of diabetic glomerular-sclerosis were decreased by treatment of Tangshenqing-1.[Conclusions] Tangshenqing-1 can protect diabetic kidney through deceasing the expression of TGF-b1. |
