Abstract
[Objective] To explore the protective effect and the mechanism of total glucosides of paeony(TGP) against the acute hepatic injury induced by tripterygium glycosides tablet in mice.[Methods] TGP was administered by mouth for succeeding seven days. After that acute hepatic injury was established in mice with tripterygium glycosides tablet.Serum ALT,AST,SOD,MDA content were determined.[Results] TGP could decrease serum ALT,AST content, increase SOD content and increase MDA content in the liver homogenate.[Conclusions] TGP may prevent and cure acute hepatic injury induced by tripterygium glycosides tablet in mice. The mechanism may be related to oxygen free radical production.
