[Objective] To observe the curative effect of Shufei(Relaxing the lung) Dagan(Soothing the liver) method on treating chronic hepatitis(CHB). [Methods] Seventy-five patients with CHB were randomly divided into treatment and control group. The patients of treatment group were treated with astragalus, coastal glehnia root, platycodon root, licorice root, etc. The patients of control group were treated with a comprehensive methods. The course of treatment was 30 days. [Results] The clinical curative effects and the liver function of treatment group were significantly better than that of control group(P<0.05). The cardinal symptoms of treatment group were extremely improved when compared with that of control group(P<0.01). [Conclusions] The methods of Shufei Dagan are obviously effective in improving liver function in CHB patients, and useful in relieving clinical symptoms.
