Effect of Xinfukang on left ventricular remodeling and function after myocardial infarction in rats |

Abstract
|
[Objective] To study the impact of Xinfukang on left ventricular remodeling (LVRM) and cardiac function after myocardial infarction (AMI) in rats. [Methods] Myocardial infarction was induced by ligating the descending left coronary artery in male rats. Twenty-four hours later, 48 survived rats with MI were randomly divided into myocardial infarction (MI) control group, sham-operated group, Xinfukang middle dose group and Xinfukang high dose group. After 4 weeks of therapy, the cardiac function was measured. [Results] Compared with sham operated group, all the LVDd, LVDs, IVSd, IVSs, LVPWd and LVPWs, EF, CO, FS of treatment group were statistical different (P<0.05). The collagen fibers of sham operated group were increased and disordered. [Conclusions] Xinfukang can prevent LVRM after MI in rats, improve cardiac function, prohibit collagen fibers hyperplasia. |
