| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To study the effect of Perilla frutescens stem on the contractile activity of isolated colon smooth muscle strips in rats. [Methods] Functional dyspepsia(FD) model was induced in lower limb in ischemia and reperfusion rats(LIR). The circular muscle strips of rat colon were suspended in a thermostat pool for perfusion. The average contractile amplitude and the resting tension of colonic muscle strips were recorded. [Results] Perilla frutescens stem could increase the average contractile amplitude of colonic muscle strips in FD rats and decrease the resting tension. But it was no use for normal rats. [Conclusions] The results indicate that Perilla frutescens stem has significant exciting action on contractile activity of isolated colonic smooth muscle strips in FD model rats. |
