Abstract
|
[Objective] To explore the clinical curative effect of abdominal massage therapy in treating generalized anxiety disorder(GAD) and contrast and observe the clinical effect between abdominal massage therapy and traditional Chinese medicine in emotion change before and after treatment as well as the improvement of somatic syndromes. [Methods] Sixty patients with GAD were randomly divided into abdominal massage therapy group and traditional Chinese medicine control group. The clinical effect and correlated measuring scale between these two groups were compared. [Results] The SAS scale(Self-rating anxiety scale) and HAMA scale(Hanmilton anxiety scale) had obvious difference before and after treatment (P<0.01) in both groups. Thirty days later There weren’t yet any significant difference between two groups in the rate of significant recovery clinically(P>0.05). [Conclusions] Abdominal massage therapy may obviously improve somatic and emotion symptoms of GAD patients. These patients are not dependent on treatment and have no adverse reaction. |
