| The intestines-brain correlation theory played an important role on the science development history of TCM and western medicine. The intestines-brain correlation theory had important meaning to revealing the regulation of etiology, pathology and pharmacotherapeutics and enlarge the research thoughts of integrating traditional Chinese and western medicine.
