| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To optimize the purification process of Herba epimedii by mixed flocculation agents. [Methods] The addition volume of flocculation agents were investigated and compared with traditional water-precipitation process using the yield loss rate of Icariin and residue percentage of tannin and chlorophyll as index by comprehensively weighted grading method. [Results] The optimum process was achieved when adding 3% extraction volume of gelatin and 4% extraction volume of Chitosan. The yield loss rate of Icariin was only 7.5% while the removal rate of tannin and chlorophyll reached 56.3% and 98.2%, respectively. [Conclusions] The method of adding mixed flocculation agents was promising in the field of refining alcohol-extraction of Chinese herbal medicines. |
