Abstract
|
[Objective] To establish the method of simultaneous determination of the content of periplocin and 4-methoxysalicylic aldehyde in Cortex periplocae. [Methods] The determination was carried out by HPLC method on ODS chromatographic column, using acetonitrile:methanol:water (27:10:63) as the mobile phase at 220 nm. [Results] The calibration curve was linear within the range of 0.08~1.0 μg, r=0999 4 for periplocin and 0.22~3.0 μg, r=0999 9 for 4-methoxy salicylic aldehyde. The precision of the two constituents was 0.79% and 0.67%, the reproducibility was 1.2% and 2.2% and the recovery rate of samples was 97.1% and 96.2% respectively. [Conclusions] The method can be used to determine periplocin and 4-methoxy salicylic aldehyde simultaneously. It is more convenient and accurate than the method reported in the literatures. |
