Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the syndrome of TCM in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) in order to provide a scientific evidence for preventing and treating it. [Methods] Using cross-sectional study,we surveyed the primary clinical symptom of these inhabitants suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus at some street district and analyzed the questionnaire of foregone inhabitants of type 2 diabetes mellitus. After reliability analysis,using Spearman correlation analysis method we filtrated primary clinical symptom correlating with blood sugar of fingers of them in traditional Chinese medicine and analyzed them using factor analysis. [Results] Spearman correlation analysis found 25 primary clinical symptoms of type 2 patients of diabetes mellitus including fatigue after exercise,thamuria,tiredness feeling,sudation on the palm of hands and foots,heaviness in every portion of body,turgor on the rib worsen after meal,numbness on the hands and foots,weakness and lassitude on crural portion,hyperphagia correlated with blood sugar of fingers of them. Factor analysis indicated three factor components (Eigenvalue >1). They were listed in an increasing importance order and the cumulative contribution of the first 3 factors was 71.02%. The contribution of the first factor was 39.55%,the second factor 18.16% and the third factor 13.32%. The first factors included weakness after exercise,thamuria,tiredness feeling,sudation on the palm of hands and foots,heaviness of on every pore,turgor on the rib worsen after meal,numbness on the hands and foots,weakness and lassitude on the crusal portion and gluttonous symptom. The second factor consisted of vomiturition,turgor in the stomach worsen when meeting cold,thamuria,drinking water more than before. The third factor comprised of ice-cold feeling in stomach and turgor on the stomach worsen after cold. [Conclusions] The results indicated that symptoms of inhabitants of type 2 diabetes mellitus in traditional Chinese medicine were composed of three dimensionalities,that are symptoms of type 2 diabetes mellitus; weakness and coldness in the stomach and QI rising in reverse order and abnormality of functioning of QI in kidney; deficiency and cold in middle JIAO. |
