| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To explore the mechanism of Erhuang Huoxue (activating blood circulation) decoction in preventing and treating diabetic microangiopathy(DMAP). [Methods] The disease model in rats was established by intraperitoneal injection of alloxan and feeding with high caloric chow. They were treaterd for 16 weeks. Then the fasting blood glucose (FBG),plasma endothelins(ET),serum nitric oxide(NO),urinary albumin excretion rate(UAE) and so on were determined.[Results] The level of FBG,ET and UAE of model rats was increased,but serum NO and NO/ET was decreased markedly. After treatment,FBG,ET and UAE were decreased remarkably,NO and NO/ET were increased notably(P<0.01).[Conclusions] Erhuang Huoxue decoction can decrease high glucose,regulate the vascular endothelial function and the excretion of ET and NO,maintain the equilibration of vasomotor function,as so to prevent and threat DMAP. |
