Abstract
[Objective] To observe the clinical effect of Zhisou(relieving cough) powder in treating acute bronchitis.[Methods] The patients with acute bronchitis of treatment group were treated with Zhishou powder and those of control group with acute bronchitis syrup.[Results] The healing rate of zhisou powder group was 50% and the total effective rate was 92%. The healing rate of control group was 31% and total effective rate of Zhisou powder was 65%. The healing rate and the total effective rate of treatment group was obviously higher than that of control(P<0.05). The clinical effects of Zhisou powder group was also obviously higher than that of control group when calculated with Ridit analysis method (P<0.05).[Conclusions] Zhisou powder has effect of opening the inhibited lung-energy, relieving cough and reducing sputum and is a effective prescription for treating cough caused by exogenous pathogens.
