| Abstract

| The heat-clearing method was one of eight traditional Chinese therapeutic methods and was widely utilized in treating sores. It can be used in disease with local symptoms of red, swelling, fever and pain companied with red tongue, yellow fur, frequent pulses. The heat-clearing and detoxicating method should be used according to the principal of diagnosis and treatment based on an overall analysis of the illness and the patient’s condition. The Professor Chen Bao-yuan had many clinical experiences of this method through his clinical practice. The indications, commonly used prescription, clinical instructions of this method is here introduced. |
