Abstract

Parkinson’s disease (PD) belongs to the category of senile tremor in traditional Chinese medicine. It is one of the retrograde disease of CNS commonly seen and multiple in middle-old persons. Formerly, most doctors recognized it from deficiency of liver-yin and kidney-yin, excessive rising of liver yang and hyperactive liver-yang causing syndrome of liver-wind. But they ignored the relationship between spleen-stomach and PD in the onset, development and treatment. According to the theories of traditional Chinese medicine combined with the clinical experience it was provided that "the spleen-stomach damage was the cause of PD", The vacuity and deficiency of spleen-stomach was the basis of the developing, "strengthening the spleen and stomach" was "the nature of the treatment" and "taking care of the spleen and stomach was the key of prevention". Then the writer expound his standpoints one by one, hoping that the relationship between spleen-stomach and PD be clarified theoretically. |
