Mechanism of activating blood and removing stasis in treating breast hyperplasia

Abstract
    Breast hyperplasia was a common disease in female and its incidence occupied the first place of breast diseases.Breast hyperplasia sometimes could develop into breast cancer.The cause of the disease was blood-stagnation and phlegm-dampness blocking meridian,concentrating in the breast and forming a block.So blood-stagnation was the basic pathogenesis.In modern medicine,hyperplasia of breast was the result of the imbalance between estrogen and progestine due to the endocrine disturbance.The tissue of breast could not complete the cycling of hyperplasia and restoration.Traditional Chinese medicine had an advantage in treating hyperplasia of breast.Clinically,the main therapy was activating blood and removing stasis,accompanied with smoothing liver and relieving Qi-depression,regulating Chong-Ren,softening hardness to resolve stagnation.These methods could improve blood circulation of breast,regulate endocrine disturbance,treat hyperplasia of breast and prevent the occurrence of breast cancer.
