Abstract
[Objective] To study the sugar-decreasing effects of R. undulatum in rats with type 2 diabetes. [Methods] The diabetes was induced by STZ in rats and the electropositive MET was taken as control. The model rats were divided into three groups: high-dose group, middle-dose group and low-dose group. After orally receiving the drug the blood glucose levels of each model rat was determined. [Results] R. undulatum had better therapeutic action on diabetic rats and had no significant effect on blood glucose levels of normal rats. [Conclusions] R. undulatum has better sugar-decreasing action in rats with type 2 diabetes.
