| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To observe and explore the effects of Gualouqumai pills (Bolus of Fructus Trichosanthis Herba Dianthi) the pathologic changes of kidney in rats with diabetic nephropathy. [Methods] Eighty male SD rats were randomly divided into control group(C), model group(M),low-dose Gualouqumai pills group(L-D), middle-dose Gualouqumai pills group(M-D) and high-dose Gualouqumai pills group(H-D). The left kidneys in model rats were nephrectomized and streptozocin (STZ) was injected. Depending on the dose, all the rats were administrated for 6 weeks. At the end of the experiment the urine, urinary protein(Upro), blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and serum creatinine(Scr) were measured and the endogenous creatinine clearance rate (Ccr) was calculated. [Results] Gualouqumai pills had a function of decreasing the excretion of brine protein and reducing the level of blood creatinine and urea nitrogen. [Conclusions] Gualouqumai pills can play a certain role in protecting and treating the rats with diabetic nephropathy. |
