Abstract
|
[Objective] To discuss the intervention effect of Yiqiyangyin(benefiting vital QI and nourishing YIN) Huoxuehuatan (activating blood circulation and resolving phlegm) decoction, a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), on rats with pulmonary fibrosis (PF). [Methods] Forty rats were randomly divided into four groups: normal group(A), model group(B), TCM group (C) and Western medicine group(D). Bleomycin-induced PF was established in rats. The rat’s weight, lung index and general situation were observed and the expression of lung tissue transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) was detected. [Results] Compared with the normal group, the body weight was reduced, lung index was increased, expression of TGF-β1 was high in rats of model group(P<0.05). Compared with the model group, TCM group was effective in increasing body weight of rats, inhibiting the increase of lung index. It could reduce the excessive secretion and expression of TGF-β1 with significant differences (P<0.05). [Conclusions] Yiqiyangyin Huoxuehuatan decoction may improve the general situation of rats with bleomycin-induced PF, and achieves the role of against PF through inhibiting the expression of TGF-β1 of lung tissues. |
