Abstract
    The pathology of Blood Stasis Syndrome lies in the disruption of the balance between blood coagulation and fibrinoly sis, causing cellular ischemia, increased free radicals, impediment of microcirculation and formation of thrombus and leading to tissue damages of various organs. For examples, diseases of heart, brain, blood vessels, blood, tumor, liver, fibrosis of lungs, diabetes, and pre-mature aging, etc. In this article, the above mentioned ailments will be discussed in the aspects of pathology and Chinese medicine treatment. The key to the treatment is the principle of resolving blood stasis.
