| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the clinical effect of Naoliiu Powder combined with chemotherapy in treating recurrent brain gliomas. [Methods] Thirty-four patients of recurrent brain gliomas were randomly divided into treatment group(17 cases) and control group(17 cases). The patients of two groups were treated with chemotherapy (PCV program). At the same time the patients of treatment group was also given Naoliu powder. The toxic and side effect, quality of life and focus of infection changes after treatment were observed. [Results] The life quality in treatment group was obviously improved compared with that in control group(P<0.05). The incidence of the adverse reaction in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). The effective power and stable rate of focus in the treatment group was greatly raised, but there was no significantly difference between the two groups(P>0.05). [Conclusion] The Naoliu powder can markedly improve the life quality of the patients of recurrent brain gliomas and can also reduce toxic and side reaction of chemotherapy. It was worth to further research of Naoliu powder in relieving and stabilizing focus and controlling the disease development. |
