Abstract
|
[Objective] To study the therapeutic effect of integrated use of Chinese and Western medicine(ICWM) on the improvement of insulin resistance(IR) in patients with both deficiencies of vital energy and yin and blood stasis in patients of type 2 diabetes. [Methods] One hundred and twenty cases of IR patients were randomly divided into two groups: control group and treated group with 60 patients in each group. They were treated respectively with Western medicine and diet control, the patients of treated group, in addition to above treatment, were given some Chinese medicine, which could supplement qi(vital energy), nourish yin(body constitution) and activate blood circulation. The observation period was three months. Fasting blood glucose(FBG), 2 hours post meal blood glucose(2hBG), fasting insulin(Fins), glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc), blood fat, blood coagulation were observed before and after treatment, then the index of IR were calculated. [Results] The FBG, 2hBG, Fins, HbA1c, HOMA-IR, blood fat and blood coagulation of treatment group was obviously improved when compared with that of control group. [Conclusion] This kind of traditional Chinese medicine has a curative effect in preventing and improving insulin resistance, blood fat disorder and serum hypercoagulabale state in patients with type 2 diabetes. |
