Abstract
|
[Objective] To screen the decorated words in appropriate scale necessary for Menopause Rating Scale (CMRS). [Methods] CMRS consists of two categories of responsive scales: frequency and intensity. Each of them had five ordinal decorated words respcectively including two anchors at the extreme levels and three intermediates. We invited experts to decide the two anchors for extreme levels, and then selected 40 healthy persons to place each decorated words on a 10 centimeter line according to where they thought each decorated word be laid on in relation to the two anchors. [Results] Five most appropriate decorated words were "Completely not", "Slightly", "Moderately","Very much"and "Extremly" for intensity; and "Never","Seldom","sometimes","Very often","Always" for frequency. [Conclusion] These selected decorated words were suitable for Menopause Rating Scale in China. |
