| [Objective] To observe the effect of moving cup manipulation on treating ankylosing spondylitis (AS). [Methods] Thirty-three patients with AS were randomly divided into group A (Treated by moving cup manipulation plus Western medicine, n=18) and group B (treated with Western medicine only, n=15) according to their tolerance. VAS, time of morning stiffness, finger-ground distance, occiput-wall distance, Scholber test index were observed 4 weeks later. [Results] The effect on time of morning stiffness, finger-ground distance of group A was obviously better than that of group B. [Conclusion] The method of moving cup manipulation was dramatically effective on AS. |
