Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the action of Sal A on the expression of cellular adhesion molecules after hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R) injury in brain microvascular endothelial cells (BMEC). [Methods] After pretreating with Sal A for 20h, the H/R was successfully established H/R on BMEC. Then the expression of ICAM-mRNA was evaluated by RT-PCR method. Nimodipine served as positive control.[Results] Compared with control, the expression of ICAM-mRNA of H/R model enhanced significantly (P<0.01). Sal A could downregulate the expression of ICAM-1 in the H/R model on BMEC (P<0.05). [Conclusion] Sal A can downregulate the expression of ICAM-1 in the H/R injured BMEC, suggesting that the molecular mechanism of Sal A in brain protection was based on down-regulating the expression of cellular adhesion molecules. |
