Abstract
|
[Objective] To study the pharmacological action and mechanism of "Xinshenyihao" (XS-1) in treating rats with experimental gastric ulcer. [Methods] Gastric ulcer was induced in rats by using soaking and restraining stress and acetic acid damage to study the function of XS-1 in protecting and repairing gastric ulcer, and the effect of XS-1 on the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax in rats with gastric ulcer was also determined. [Results] XS-1 played a significantly role in treating both acetic ulcer and in preventing stress ulcer. In both model groups, Bcl-2 positive cells in the XS-1 treated groups were significantly more than those in the model groups (P<0.01). In contrast,Bax positive cells in the model groups were significantly more than those in the XS-1-treated groups (P<0.01). [Conclusion] The traditional Chinese medicine Xinshenyihao can enhance the expresstion of Bcl-2 and reduce the expresstion of Bax in mucosa of rats with gastric ulcer. This might be one of its mechanisms. |
