Abstract
|
[Objective] To research the effect of Xinnaoshutong(dredging heart and brain) capsule (XNST), a Chinese medicine with effect of activating blood circulation,removing stasis and dredging collateral), on monoamine neurotransmitter in rats with cerebral ischemia and reperfusion injury. [Methods] Forty-two male SD rats were randomly divided into sham,model,XNST treatment group. Acute cere-bral ischemia and reperfusion was induced with thread occlusion technique inducing middle cerebral artery occlusion in rats. Changes of cortical neurons was determined by HE staining and the concentrations of the monoamine neurotransmitters was measured by HPLC. [Results] Xinnaoshutong capsule had following effects:alleviate the pathological injury and reduce contents of E,DA and 5-HT. [Conclusion] Xinnaoshutong capsule can alleviate the change of pathological injury and the mechanism, underlying the possible protective mechanism is to improve disturbed neurotransmitters. |
