| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To explore the use of HP-β-CD as a preparation in ophthalmology. [Methods] The effects of HP-β-CD on the corneal permeability for Baicalin were investigated in vitro in isolated corneas of rabbit. [Results] The 11% and 15% HP-β-CD could in-crease the appeared permeability for Baicalin as much as 1.66 and 1.33 times respectively, when compared with the one in the control (P<0.05). However, 7.0% and 20% HP-β-CD didn’t improve the appeared permeability for Baicalin (P>0.05). [Conclusion] The 11% and 15% HP-β-CD enhance the corneal appeared permeability for Baicalin significantly and have not irritation to eye tissues. |
