Abstract
[Objective] To investigate the influence of supplementing Qi, activating blood flow and detoxicating treating on P-glucoproteinexpression in colon tissue of patients with recurrent ulcerative colitis (UC).[Methods] Ninety cases with recurrent UC were randomlydivided into treatment group (n=45) and control group (n=45) according to the random table. After treatment for three months, the cases ofcomplete remission and of with effective treatment were followed-up for 6 months. (treatment group, n=39;control group, n=32).Thepatients of treatment group accepted decoction of supplementing Qi, activating blood flow and detoxicating treatment while the controlgroup used Salazosulfapyridine.[Results] There were obvious differences between treatment group and control group. Before treatment, the level of colon tissue P-glucoprotein in UC group was much higher than that in health persons (P<0.01);the level of P-glucoprotein inrecurrent group was higher than that in non-recurrent group (P<0.01);but after treatment and follow-up period, the level of colon tissueP-glucoprotein in treatment group was lower than that in control group (P<0.01).[Conclusion] The study shows that decoction ofsupplementing Qi, activating blood flow and detoxicating treatment for patients with recurrent UC can more effectively decrease the levelof colon tissue P-glucoprotein than treatment with Salazosulfapyridine. At the same time, the drug-resistance is restrained, and this canraise the curative effect and decrease the recurrence of the disease.
