Abstract
|
[Objective] To discuss the treatment mechanisms of catgut embedding at acupoint of Obesity.[Methods] thirty-six obese ratsinduced with feeding high glucose and high fat diet were randomly divided into three groups. The 12 rats of Group 1 (catgut embedding)were only treated by catgut embedding at acupoint;12 rats of Group 2 (acupuncture) were treated by acupuncture only;12 rats of Group 3 (model) and the other 12 rats of group 4 (fed with ordinary diet) were not given any treatment.Four weeks later, all the rats were killed andthe change of the serum leptin, the hypothalamus leptin, the body weight, the stem length, the Lee’s index, and the blood fat were observed.[Results] The body weight, the Lee’s index and the serum leptin level of obese rats were obviously higher than those of the normalrats, while the hypothalamus leptin of obese rats was obviously lower than that of the normal rats (P<0.01).Catgut embeding at acupointhad good anti-obesity action. It could obviously lower the serum leptin, the triglyceride (TG) and the cholesterol (CHOL) of obese rats, andraise the hypothalamus leptin of obese rats (P<0.05).[Conclusion] Catgut embedding at acupoint has active effect on the obese organism‘s blood fat, center leptin and periphery leptin. |
