Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the regulating effect of qi supplement and blood activation therapy method in TCM on expression of the TGF-β1, Smad2/3 and α-SMA in rats with unilateral ureteral obstruction and to explore the therapeutic action on tubular epithelial myofibroblast transdifferentiation. [Methods] The unilateral ureteral ligation was used to induce renal interstitial fibrosis in rats. They were divided into treatment groups and sham operation group with 5 rats in each. Thirty male rats were selected and randomly divided into the model group, the high, middle and low dose TCM groups, Western medicine group. At 14th postoperative day, the nephridial tissues of operating side were harvested to detect the change of pathology. The expressions of TGF-β1, Smad2/3 and α-SMA in renal tissue were examined by using immunohistochemistry method. [Results] The Qi supplement and blood activation therapy could lessen the renal interstitial fibrosis and down-regulate the expression of TGF-β1, Smad2/3 and α-SMA. [Conclusion] The Qi supplement and blood activation therapy can inhibit the tubular epithelial myofibroblast transdifferentiation by down-regulating the expression of TGF-β1, Smad2/3 and αSMA. |
