| Abstract

| [Objective] To study the effect of total paeony glycoside of chishao (TGC) and the anti-tumor mechanism by observing the regulating action, immune modulation on tumor-bearing mice and the apoptosis of tumor cells. [Methods] The level of IL-2 and IL-10 in peripheral blood of mice was determined by using ELISA method and bcl-2 and p16 expression of tumor load in mice tumor tissue by using SABC immunohistochemistry method. [Results] TGC could enhance the IL-2 secretion in peripheral blood of tumor-bearing mice with significant difference when compared with tumor-bearing control group (P<0.01). TGC could lower the level of IL-10 secretion significantly also (P<0.01), lower the bcl-2 protein positive cells expression (P<0.05), reduce the level of bcl-2 expression, increase the level of p16 protein expression (P<0.01). [Conclusion] TGC plays an important role in anti-tumor effect by improving the tumor-bearing abnormal immune status and inducing the apoptosis of tumor cell. |
