| [Objective] To observe the clinical effect and safety of the cervical and lumbar obtundent combined with acupuncture on cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy. [Methods] Two hundreds patients were randomly divided into the treatment group (n=100),which was administered with cervical and lumbar obtundent combined with acupuncture and the control group (n=100),which was given Gentongping Pian combined with acupuncture.Thirty days was a treatment course in both groups. The clinical curative effective rate, symptoms scores in Chinese medicine and difference in the level Pain index were observed before and after treatment. [Results] The total effective rate was 91% in treatment group, and 86% in control group. There was no significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the symptoms scores in patients of the treatment group significantly reduced after treatment(P<0.05),and the level of Pain index (P<0.05) was improved. No clinical adverse reaction was observed. [Conclusion] The obtundent combined with acupuncture can treat cervicalspondy-lotic radiculopathy, improve clinical symptoms and has no toxic reaction. |
