Abstract
The "Five Orbiculi" Theory is a unique theory of differentiated treatment in ophthalmology of TCM. Since its forming it has guided the ophthalmologic treatment effectively till now. This article briefly reviews the process of the formation and development of the theory. Its advantages and disadvantages is also analyzed and the research direction in the future is considered.
