| Abstract
|
| The Meridian in Neijing(Internal classic of Medicine)actually included two different systems of meridians, namely qi circulating meridians i.e. twelve meridians and blood circulating meridians i.e. blood meridians. Qi and blood were separated. Qi was defensive qi and blood was nutritive blood. Both were circulated in the two different systems of meridians respectively. The ancient doctors considered wrongly that the Qi circulating meridians observed by diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine and the blood circulating meridians observed by anatomy and Qi-blood circulated in blood vessel were the same. It led to the confusion between Qi meridians and confusion between Qi and blood. |
