| Abstract

| The aim of this paper was to understand the relation between the origin and development of dosage form and dose nomenclature in order to correctly understand the content of TCM prescription and specification. It could provide some supplemental data to dictionary and words book by studying the exact meaning of TCM phraseology. The thought exploration found that the decoction was also the alternative name of soft extract,decoct pill,decoct juice,medicinal broth. The historical evolution of the prescription was primarily explored. |
