Abstract
|
[Objective] A retrospective analysis on the short and long term clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine combined with urokinase thrombolysis in treating acute cerebral infarction was made. [Methods] Two hundred patients with acute cerebral infarction from January 2001 to December 2005 were selected and the degree of neurologic impairment before and after thrombolytic therapy was evaluated. The occurrences of adverse events within one year after thrombolytic therapy were investigated through follow-up with telephone, such as recurrence of cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage and death. We also counted the frequency of every traditional Chinese medicine using in the therapeutic process. [Results] The total effective rate of 100 cases in the group of traditional Chinese medicine combined with urokinase thrombolysis was 83.00%, and 71.00% in the group of small dose urokinase thrombolysis only. Within one year, the recurrence incidences of cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage and death in the group of traditional Chinese medicine combined with urokinase thrombolysis were all lower than that in the group of small dose urokinase thrombolysis only. [Conclusion] Traditional Chinese medicine combined with urokinase thrombolytic therapy has a definite therapeutic effect in treating acute cerebral infarction, and they have a synergistic effect. Thrombolytic therapy of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine has a better security in treating acute cerebral infarction. |
