Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the effect of Wenshen Huashi (warming kidney and dissipating dampness) Decoction on the pH value of fresh morning urine, the total urine volume of 24 hours, calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), phosphoruse (P), citric acid, gly-cosaminoglycans (GAGs), and to explore the mechanism of it in treating and preventing urinary stone.[Methods] Forty patients with urolithiasis were divided into treat group and control group at random, treating with warming kidney and dissipating dampness decoction and dihydrochlorothiazide (DCT) respectively for 14 days. Then the total urine volume of 24 hours, pH value of fresh morning urine, the content of promoting substances, including Ca, P oxalic acid, the content of restraining substance such as Mg, citric acid and GAGs were observed before and after treatment. The data were statistically analyzed with T test. [Result] Wenshen Huashi Decoction could reduce the pH value of the fresh morning urine, the density of promoting substances including Ca, P oxalic acid, increase the urine volume of 24 hours, the density of restrain substances such as Mg, citric acid and GAGs in the urine (P<0.05). [Conclusion] Wenshen Huashi Decoction can reduce the density of promoting substances and increase the density of restraining substances in the urine. It may be one of the important mechanisms of Wenshen Huashi Decoction in preventing and treating calsium-containing urinary stone. |
