| Abstract

| [Objective] To investigate the effects of Suxiao Jiuxin (treating cardiac disease with rapid effect) Wan on the expressions of oxLDL,NF-κb and PPARγ.[Methods] Experimental arteriosclerosis (AS) in rats was produced by feeding with high fat diet and vitamin D3. The AS rats were randomly divided into the normal group, the model group, the Suxiao Jiuxin Wan treated group and astorvastatin treated group. The serum levels of ox-LDL were measured by ELISA method. The protein of NF-κb and PPARγ was measured by Western blot. [Results] In the model group, the content of ox-LDL, the protein of NF-κb and PPARγ was increased compared with the normal group; Compared with the model group, the content of ox-LDL the protein of NF-κb and PPARγ were declined in Suxiao Jiuxin Wan groups. [Conclusions] Suxiao Jiuxin Wan may prevent the development of arteriosclerosis.The decreasing of ox-LDL and the inhibiting of the expression of NF-κb and PPARγ may contribute to the prevention. |
