Abstract
[Objective] To establish the fingerprint of Shuanghuanglian Powder-Injection by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and to qualitatively analyze the marker peaks of Shanghuanglian Powder-Injection. [Methods] The HPLC fingerprint of Shuanghuanglian Powder-Injection was compared with those reference substances of corresponding component herbs. The relative retention time of each peak, and some reference substances were used in the analyses. [Results] Twenty-one marker peaks were separated by HPLC, seven marker peaks were confirmed to the Shuanghuanglian powder-injection respectively, as follow: caffeotannic acid, forsythoside, baicalin, forsythin, luteolin, wogonoside and baicalein. [Conclusion] Some marker peaks and their synergy origins can be identified by chromatographic fingerprint technology, which can provide much useful information to the quality control of Shuanghuanglian Powder Injection.
