Research on secondary prevention of ischemic stroke with Traditional Chinese Medicine

Abstract
    [Objective] To study the participation condition of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the secondary preventive effect in patients with ischemic stroke above 60 years old. [Methods] In the diagnosed patients with stroke according to the established medical prevention manner the using condition and the preventive effect of Chinese medicine were compared with reviewing and following-up methods. [Results] The simple use of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western medicine had its limits and integrating traditional Chi-nese medicine and Western medicine could obtain a more better treating and preventing effect. Meanwhile,the mental,obesity,physical fitness,smoking,drinking and hypertension,coronary heart disease,diabetes and other factors could affect the effect of prevention. [Conclusion] The method of combining Chinese and Western medicine may help stroke patients in secondary prevention.
